Paul Sharp

Illustrator Paul Sharp was born and raised in
Indiana, where imaginations find room to grow. He drew and drew, all the way to Pittsburgh, PA, where he graduated from the Art Institute.

Freelancing for twenty years, Paul previously
worked as Art Director in Toys & Games for Random House Happy House Group, Warren Industries, and as Art Director for Children's Magazines at Curtis Publishing, Children's Better Health Institute.

Paul continued his education in the 1990s, at Yavapai College in Sedona, Arizona, completing courses in Digital Illustration: Adobe Photoshop & Illustrator.

In Sedona, Paul also studied sculpture under Eugenia Everett. His three dimensional work has influenced his illustration style.

Recently, Paul completed a course at Indiana University Continuing studies in Flash animation, and enjoys experimenting in this media.

His characters appear on brand name packaging, tv commercials, party goods, children's books, editorial pieces, ads, aps and animated interactive media.

Paul is a founding member of the Bloomington Indiana Watercolor Society, and enjoys kayaking, and cross country skiing.

Alice Sharp

Designer, Alice Michael Sharp, graduated from Herron School of Art in Indianapolis majoring in Visual Communication.

Her design career led to a position as Creative Director for Creative Expressions Party Goods, after several years working in Product Development as a Designer.

She also worked as an Art Director for Warner Press Inspirational Greeting Cards & Products, and designed gift wrap & stationery for her own company, Studio A. In the early 1990s, Alice married Paul Sharp and began freelancing full-time as his partner.

Alice is a member of SCBWI, former member of the Bloomington Children’s Authors Group, and founding member of the Bloomington Watercolor Society, serving for several years as Plein Air Coordinator.

She continued her education at Yavapai College in Sedona, Arizona, in Digital Illustration: Adobe Photoshop & Illustrator, and received a Certificate in Web Design at Indiana University Continuing Studies.

Alice studied creative writing at the Sedona Arts Center, and enjoyed volunteering as a Literacy Tutor.

"Humphrey Suits Himself" by inchworm press, was written by Alice and illustrated by Paul. This picture book features a shy elephant, a preppy giraffe, and a dancing hippo couple.
